Problem: Rural, small businesses and organizations don’t have access to sophisticated automation or cutting-edge websites & landing pages. They are stuck doing a lot of manual tasks they don’t enjoy doing in order to stay afloat while trying to use old styles of communication/business strategy
Proposed Solution: Wise Mountain, a business dedicated to supporting the small businesses and organizations of Siskiyou County with automation and “web deployment” that lets individuals, businesses and organizations be effortlessly online and spend less time on manual, repetitive tasks through strategic, custom-built automation.
SOUTH SISKIYOU NEWS
BRINGING “LOCAL” BACK TO LOCAL NEWS
Problem: A consolidated national news corporation decimated effective, local, community-focused news for south Siskiyou county after it purchased the Mt. Shasta Herald newspaper. As a result, local residents don’t get the who/what/when/where/why of “local” community news anymore as a result. In addition to the loss of a central source for most of the happenings around the area it has caused a certain degree of social fragmentation in the community.
Proposed Solution: Help knit the community patchwork back together with a digital community “newspaper” that seeks to reconnect area residents to effective, local news.
LUNAR BROCCOLI
BESPOKE GAMES AS GIFTS
Idea: Lunar Broccoli is a “game as a gift” I made I made for someone special as a gift for Chinese New Year. The object of the game is to get to the end, beat all 8 waves and collect a prize paid in a digital red envelope of cryptocurrency “DAI”— The game is built in Unreal Engine and uses some fun gravity and wave logic.

Challenge: Make all art assets for a 2D Sidescroller with an iPad Pro and build the game in Unreal Engine. The working game prototype is about a young girl in a small mountain town in the middle of a magical blizzard set in the year 1992.
